Tally Ho!

This is it folks! This concludes tallying the blog for this contract, but we've got lots to talk about for the next contract.

What do we do with the blog now?

What do you like about it?

What would you want to change about it?

Do you want it to be part of the next contract?

We'll talk about some of these things tomorrow and try to figure out where to go from here...

what is a percent

Percent
Percent means parts per 100 The symbol is % Example: 25% means 25 per 100 (25% of this box is green) So it tells you a ratio "out of 100" Example: 10% means 10 out of every 100, so when 10% of people have ice cream that means that 10 out of every 100 people have ice cream. If there were 500 people then 50 would have ice cream.

what is a fraction

Fractions

A fraction is a part of a whole

Slice a pizza, and you will have fractions:

1/2	1/4	3/8
(One-Half)	(One-Quarter)	(Three-Eighths)
The top number tells how many slices you have The bottom number tells how many slices the pizza was cut into.
